With his ability to spot emerging market trends, Kamil and his partner Darine launched Mangetout sarl, in 2009, a line of authentic fresh or frozen ready-to-heat meal range for both the retail and wholesale market, using the sous-vide technique. They further expanded to Mangetout catering, a bespoke catering service company which delivers quality food for private and corporate events. Today Mangetout encompasses a culinary consultancy providing food professionals with advisory services, be it for a boutique concept or a large, nationally recognized chain.
KAMIL BOULOOT Kamil Bouloot is the Founder and Managing partner of Mangetout sarl. He has over 20 years of hands on food service and production experience, having worked for numerous food and beverage establishments ranging from upper scale catering facilities to 5 star hotel properties, namely Faqra catering, Century park Hotel, Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, M?venpick Hotel and Resorts Beirut and Le Royal Hotel.
Kamil joined Rotana Café, Beirut in 2006, directing culinary operations in Lebanon and the Middle East. Promoted to Regional Operations Director, he was overseeing the entire sales and operations functions of Rotana cafes worldwide, his responsibilities were expanded to supporting management development and implementation of new potential projects. Kamil has launched and operated 3 franchises and prepared the start up of 2 others in the MENA region. Being a results-oriented chef/ restraunteur, kamil has taught courses in food production at the Hotel Management Department of the Université Saint Joseph in Lebanon since 2005. He has also attended numerous industry workshops and seminars with such prestigious organizations as L’Académie National de France and the Cordon Bleu. He has participated in several culinary contests in Lebanon and abroad and has received numerous awards and medals including 1st prize at the 2006 World Championship of the Tuna, Carloforte Isola Di San Pietro (CA) Sardinia, Italy.
Darine Rachkidy Bouloot has over 9 years experience in the foodservice industry. Darine joined Kamil in launching mangetout sarl from Administrators management and consultancy where she was a purchasing consultant, she ran the procurement and purchasing system at Abdul Rahman & Hallab & sons (Kaser - El Helou), she debuted her purchasing career in Le Royal Hotel being a member of the purchasing/procurement committee in 2002. Darine undertook intensive training in purchasing and in Phoenicia Intercontinental, Quality Inn, Rotana Gefinor to name few… Darine, brings to mangetout sarl, a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the challenges facing small businesses and organizations today. She specializes in cost analysis studies, feasibility studies, procurement management, purchasing policies and procedures; cost cycle, competitive market analysis.
